New Playground revolutionizes thriving at work. New Silicon Valley -concept planned by property owner Nordika and implemented by Trevian Asset Management.

Säterinportti is an office campus located in Leppävaara, Espoo, Finland. It offers modern, light and stylish office spaces for various companies, ranging from a few hundred square meters to entire buildings.

Now Säterinportti is striving to reach a new level of well-being at work. In addition to investing in well-being while designing office spaces for various companies, the new Playground concept will open this week. The Playground spans nearly 2 000 square meters and is available for all Säterinportti employees to use as a natural part of their daily life – and a natural place to meet.

The Playground provides various tools for refreshing and temporarily distancing oneself from work. According to studies, short relaxation breaks not only add comfort, but also increase efficiency and creativity. The space provides e.g. fitness center, yoga classes, game consoles, venues for movie nights, a hair salon and massage services. There is ample space for crafting new ideas, creative work, relaxation and self-care.

Silicon Valley was one of our sources of inspiration. The main idea is to improve the way employees thrive at work, which is known to promote work efficiency. I dare say that such a versatile and well-thought-out entity, which above all acknowledges the needs of employees, has not been done in Finland before, states Robert Högström, partner and head of Asset Management, Nordika.

The grand opening of Säterinportti’s new Playground was held in the form of a seminar on the 22 March. The seminar focused on well-being and featured philosopher Frank Martela as the keynote speaker. Additional speakers included Vitalija Petrulaitiene from Aalto University and Annastiina Hintsa from Hintsa Performance.
