Loihde selected premises in the heart of Helsinki – Aleksi 15, managed by Trevian, was chosen as the location for the IT company based on staff preferences

Loihde, a security and digitalization specialist, has leased new premises at Aleksi 15 on Aleksanterinkatu in Helsinki. The company will relocate to this historic property in the city center in late autumn. Trevian Asset Management manages the leasing of office and business premises for the property. The staff’s preference for its central location, good transport connections, and suitability for various working methods influenced the choice of this office space.

– Loihde has made several acquisitions in recent years, which has led to having several offices in the capital region. Currently, we are centralizing our operations to two locations: the city center and Pitäjänmäki. This approach allows us to enhance collaboration and cater to the diverse needs of our business operations and employees, says HR Partner Emma Elsayed from Loihde.

The core principles of Loihde include “people first”, according to which the company carefully listened to its staff when searching for a new office. Approximately half of the company’s 900 employees reside in the capital region.

– The city center emerged as the top choice when we surveyed our employees about their preferred work location. Furthermore, we analyzed the transportation accessibility of various locations based on our personnel’s home addresses, considering public transport and car commuting, says Elsayed.

The growing popularity of remote and hybrid work highlights the significance of office comfort and location. To encourage employees to work from the office, the space should be well-organized and provide areas that foster collaboration and focused work. Considering the diverse and demanding nature of modern information work, offices should prioritize the well-being of their occupants.

At Loihde, many staff members work from home or at the customer’s location for part of the week. However, the main reasons for coming to the office are the sense of community, in-person interactions with colleagues, and ergonomic working conditions. Additionally, the office provides other services, such as lunch opportunities.
