Trevian strengthens Shopping Centre Lanterna in Helsinki with new brand openings in 2026
Shopping Centre Lanterna in Helsinki is marking its 20th anniversary as a specialised destination for home furnishing, renovation and construction. The centre is managed by Trevian Asset Management and owned by Agore Properties. In 2026, Lanterna will welcome several new tenants, including Swedish fashion chain Lager 157, home improvement retailer Jula, Finnish furniture and interior design retailer Veke, and Elma Furniture. Alongside the tenant additions, the centre’s long-term energy-efficiency initiatives continue.
One of the anniversary year’s most notable openings is Lager 157’s first store in Helsinki, scheduled to open on 19 February 2026. The brand’s arrival brings fashion to Lanterna’s offering and marks an important milestone for both the retailer and the centre. The opening will be celebrated with special launch offers throughout the opening weekend.
Further development continues in autumn 2026, when Swedish family-owned retailer Jula opens its store at Lanterna. One of the largest home improvement chains in the Nordic region, Jula’s arrival further strengthens Lanterna’s position as a leading Helsinki destination for DIY, home, garden and construction-related retail.
Lanterna’s furniture and interior offering will also be enhanced with the opening of a new store by Finnish retailer Veke. Veke’s selection includes furniture, garden furniture, rugs, lighting and interior décor products. In addition, Aitokaluste, will expand its premises to meet growing demand.
Elma Furniture opened its store at Lanterna earlier this January, offering high-quality furniture for homes, offices and public spaces.
– We are pleased to welcome new retailers to Helsinki and to Lanterna. The upcoming openings will add timeless, everyday fashion to the centre and further reinforce its role as a destination for interior design, construction and renovation, complementing Lanterna’s overall concept, says asset managet Sari Mustapää at Trevian Asset Management.
Energy efficiency at the core of development
Responsible energy use is a key focus in the ongoing development of Shopping Centre Lanterna. In 2025, the property achieved BREEAM In-Use environmental certification, and in December 2025 a hybrid power plant was completed on site, supporting a significant improvement in the centre’s energy efficiency. Similar measures are being implemented across several other properties managed by Trevian.
