Kuntatalo

Trevian partnered with the Finnish Municipal Foundation to explore the future of the Kuntatalo property in Helsinki. Completed in 1982 and primarily occupied by the Federation of Municipalities of Finland offices, the building faced high maintenance costs and required extensive renovation.

With the microlocation better suited for residential use than office space, Trevian worked with the City of Helsinki and the museum to rezone the property for residential development while preserving its historical elements. Trevian also focused on rationalizing maintenance costs and making necessary investments to sustain the building. The project is ongoing.
