The City of Oulu<\/a> has selected the Raksila 2.0 business consortium, formed by SRV<\/a> and Trevian Asset Management, to deliver the Oulu Experience Arena and Environment project. The project aims to develop a multipurpose arena in Raksila district, creating a vibrant, city-serving area for residents and visitors alike in Oulu, Finland\u2019s fifth-largest city, and the most important economic center in Northern Finland.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project will start with a two-year development and urban planning phase. If the project proceeds as planned, construction of the arena is expected to start in 2028, with completion targeted for 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the City of Oulu, key factors in the selection included the overall project concept, the business plan, and the team\u2019s experience in arena developments. The collaboration between Trevian and SRV combines strong real estate investment expertise with top-level Finnish arena construction: SRV is known for delivering the Nokia Arena in Tampere, opened in 2021, while Trevian acquired the former Helsinki Arena, now Veikkaus Arena, in early 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 We thank the City of Oulu for the trust placed in our Raksila 2.0 business consortium and for the interesting and cooperative competition process that has lasted for about 1.5 years. Although the main focus of the competition has been on the plans, conceptualization and economic modelling of the future Oulu Experience Arena, our proposal also serves as a starting point for the wider urban development of the center of Oulu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trevian sees the project as a significant opportunity to strengthen Oulu\u2019s position as Northern Finland\u2019s center for experiences and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 The Experience Arena will provide modern facilities for sports, culture, and community activities \u2013 in a sustainable and responsible way.
