We initiate and manage structures ranging from joint ventures to dedicated investment fund structures over the whole lifecycle as an asset and fund manager.
We are a real property fund manager under Alternative Investment Fund Management (AIFM) - regulation by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA) through our separate entity Trevian Funds AIFM.
Trevian Retail I
Is an investment structure (a Finnish limited partnership) set up and developed for NV Property Fund I. The investment was backed by Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Nordea Life Insurance Company and VER (State Pension Fund) with a goal to buy and manage a retail centred portfolio of over €100m. The fund is fully invested and is now focusing on active management of the portfolio supported by selected acquisitions.
Trevian Retail II
Is a similar investment structure as Retail I, with a clear value-creating approach which also required some debt restructuring. The size of the fund was approx. €50m and the fund was set up for NV Property Fund I. Following the successful portfolio acquisition and structuration, the current operative focus is on the development, value creation and sales of the portfolio. Trevian has been responsible for the set-up, equity raising, debt financing and management of the active fund.
Trevian Care I
Was a fund which invested in care for the elderly, hospitality and day-care properties all over Finland. To set-up the fund, a portfolio of approximately €90m was acquired from two seed investors. The fund was established in 2013 and was successfully sold to Hemsö in an exit in 2014. Trevian was the general partner of the fund and responsible for the set-up, equity raising, debt financing, operational management and exit of the fund.
Trevian Care II
Was a continuation of the investment strategy of Trevian Care I with four Finnish institutional investors. The focus was on properties in the growth cities all over Finland. The fund was established in 2014 and exited in 2016 with a exit size of some €90m. Trevian was the general partner of the fund responsible for the set-up, equity raising, debt financing, new acquisitions and operational management of the fund. The Fund generated a IRR of more than 20 %.

Risto is responsible of new investments of international investors. He holds a master’s degree in laws and engineering. Prior to joining Trevian Risto has worked with the world’s leading private equity investors advising them in acquisitions of assets worth more than €400M. Risto has worked in real estate business for more than 20 years.

Antti holds the position of portfolio manager and is responsible for managing the Carlyle Group’s local property investment portfolio in Finland. Prior to joining the Trevian team, Antti has worked e.g. as senior analyst at Tapiola Real Estate Asset Management, and as CEO of a small real estate consultancy company.

Kim started at Trevian in 2020 as a Director of the business area. Prior to joining Trevian on June 1, 2020, Kim has worked at LocalTapiola Group for 14 years. Since 2014, he has served as CEO of alternative funds and before that as Real Estate Fund Director. He holds a Master’s degree of Laws.
